The Vesve forest lies on the west coast of the Xarian continent. Surrounding lands (clockwise): Chalter Medrium (N), Doro Y’Edhel (E & S), the Veldren Ocean (S & W)
Land
The forests of the Vesve stand now, as they were millennia ago. Moére(mo' AIR), the Earth and Forest Goddess, is the only force that changes this land. The Vesve is under the protection and keep of the Vesve Elves . Of all the Elven races, the Vesve Elves are the closest to the Fey. The entire land is forested with a wide variety of trees and vegetation. Some of the most rare trees are found here. The Vesve Forest has no structures in it. There are no towns, no roads, not even a building of any kind. The Elves sleep in the forest, live in the trees, drink from the streams and are part of the land they respect and live in.
Resources
The Vesve Elves and the Fey of the area protect and defend this land. Since there is no societal structure or economy, there are no exports or products that leave the forest because of this. Some of the factors that could be considered resources are the variety of woods found in the Vesve, and the naturally highly fertile soil.

The High Elves of Doro Y’Edhel consider the Vesve Forest an allied country and should the need arise, they will defend the Vesve. However, this is rarely necessary since the Vesve Elves are quite capable and savage in their defense of their forest homeland. Unofficially, the Vesve Forest has the status of a “sacred natural land to be preserved." This status is held in high regard by all nearby countries, and could be considered another reason why very seldom does an outsider attempt to forest or hunt within the borders.

There is no structured society in the Vesve Forest and therefore, no government to speak of. The Vesve Elves govern themselves and the land with their own set of beliefs and morals.

The lack of a structured military force in the Vesve Forest does little to encourage any attackers. Neighbors long ago realized that the Vesve Elves were prepared to give their lives, down to the last Elf, to defend these woods. That makes them a formidable force, in addition to the fact that Doro Y’Edhel will meet any attack on the Vesve with swift retribution.

In the Vesve Forest, the Elves worship and respect the land and nature itself. This indirectly categorizes the Vesve Elves as worshipers of Moére, the Goddess of the Earth.

These Elves are generally darker of skin and hair color than other Elves, but are in no way related to the Dark Elves. Any suggestion of Dark Elven lineage to a Vesve Elf is an invitation to danger.
